Jewish Food Festival and Family Fun Fair
Take a moment… Imagine a 500 lb. matzo ball approximately 5 feet in diameter
The Jewish Food Festival and Family Fun Fair is back for its 3rd year and better than ever!
On Sunday November 7th, at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park (River at Alvernon, Tucson, AZ), not only will you will be fed, entertained, and schmoozed but you will have the opportunity to witness Chef Jon Wirtis of Shlomo & Vito’s Delicatessen break the Guinness Book World Record for the World’s Largest Matzo Ball. A 500 lb. matzo ball to be exact! Chef Wirtis has rallied the entire culinary community of Tucson to support his efforts; engineers are working to get a pot big enough for 800 gallons of chicken soup and one giant floater. The finished product will be served after the weigh in.
But it wouldn’t be a food festival without great food and fun, right? Fifteen of your favorite Tucson restaurants will be in full force at the festival dishing up delicious recipes – all with a Jewish twist. Meet the chefs, vote on your favorite dish, and revel in the taste of delicious food.
Fun for the whole family, the Jewish Food Festival and Family Fun Fair is more than just a calorie-fest – there’s live music and dance performances, a silent auction with awesome prizes, children’s activities, an impressive array of craft vendors and artisans, and much more!
Special guests direct from Israel…The Ethnic Israeli Women’s Cooking Group.
